Photos
Quark's Photos library is for pictures and videos that live on your drive at home. Full-resolution originals, albums, favorites — browsable from any device on your home network.
What Photos does today
- Browse photos and videos by time
- Albums and favorites
- View full-resolution originals
- See images that already live on your Quark storage (including ones you uploaded or imported)

Adding photos from your phone (soft-launch)
On your home WiFi, with Quark reachable on the local network:
- Open Quark (phone app or browser) and sign in.
- Go to Photos.
- Upload the photos or videos you pick from your phone library.
That's the live path: connect on the home network → Photos → upload what you choose. There is not a continuous Google Photos–style always-on camera-roll backup daemon in this release.
The phone app is still early testing (not on the App Store / Play Store for everyone yet). Remote access from outside the house is off until an admin turns it on, and it is not required for this.
Tips
- A big first upload can take a while on WiFi. That's normal.
- Keep Quark powered on and the drive attached while large uploads finish.
- On iPhone or iPad, uploading from Files can also offer Photos as a source, so you do not have to export into Files first.
- Irreplaceable photos still deserve a second physical copy — see the Security guide's 3-2-1 note.
